Monhegan Island lies some 13 miles off the coast
of Midcoast Maine. It is a fishing village and an
artist colony, and I fell in love with it many years
ago. It is wild and primitive (electricity has only
been available there for the past 10 or so years),
largely unspoiled, and extraordinarily beautiful.
Almost everything you look at seems to be a painting. These are a few such moments I have captured
over the past few years.
